Located in the heart of Santa Monica, Berkeley Street Studios is a one-of-a-kind space where world-class artists and award-winning engineers come together under one roof. The studio has hosted legendary recordings and performances from The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty, and many more.
In addition to private sessions and artist showcases, the studio is home to celebrated live performances — including a series produced in collaboration with KCRW. Up to 180 guests experience unforgettable concerts personally mixed by Bob Clearmountain.

The Founders
Co-Founder · Apogee Electronics
Betty Bennett founded Apogee Electronics in 1985, establishing the company as a pioneer in digital audio conversion and recording technology. Under her leadership for over 40 years, Apogee earned multiple TEC Awards and became known worldwide for products used in the world's top studios. Her vision for Berkeley Street Studios combined decades of technical innovation with a singular creative environment.

Described by Sound on Sound as having "his name on more hit records than anyone else in the history of popular music," Bob Clearmountain is credited with establishing the role of mixing engineer as we know it today. Eight Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, TEC Les Paul Award, Music Producers Guild Icon Award (2023), and an honorary doctorate from Berklee NYC (2025) — all earned from the same dedication to sound he brings to every session at Studio M.
