Inquire About SessionsThe Studio
A recording facility that functions equally as a professional tracking environment and an intimate live performance venue.
Located in the heart of Santa Monica, Clearmountain's Berkeley Street Studios is a one-of-a-kind space where acclaimed artists and award-winning engineers come together under one roof. The studio has hosted legendary recordings and performances from Mick Jagger & The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish & FINNEAS, John Fogerty, John Mayer, and many more.
In addition to private sessions and artist showcases, the studio is home to celebrated live performances — including a series produced in collaboration with KCRW. Up to 180 guests experience unforgettable concerts personally mixed by Bob Clearmountain.
What sets Berkeley Street apart isn't just the equipment or the résumés on the wall — it's the feeling of the room. For all its storied credentials, it carries the warmth and ease of a space people genuinely want to spend time in. Serious work happens here, but it never feels that way.
Three Distinct Spaces
Immersive Audio
Immersive audio is woven through the building, not bolted onto a single room. From the Dolby-certified Neve control room to a stage that holds 180 inside a finished mix, five spaces across Clearmountain's Berkeley Street and Bob's Mix This! are built for Atmos at every stage — tracking, mixing, mastering, and listening.

Full StoryDescribed by Sound on Sound as having "his name on more hit records than anyone else in the history of popular music," Bob Clearmountain is credited with establishing the role of mixing engineer as we know it today. Two Emmy Awards, TEC Les Paul Award, Music Producers Guild Icon Award (2023), and an honorary doctorate from Berklee NYC (2025) — all earned from the same dedication to sound he brings to every session at Studio M.
