Inquire About SessionsThe Studio
A recording studio, live performance venue, and production facility — all under one roof in Santa Monica.
Located in the heart of Santa Monica, Clearmountain's Berkeley Street Studios is a one-of-a-kind space where acclaimed artists and award-winning engineers come together under one roof. The studio has hosted legendary recordings and performances from Mick Jagger & The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish & FINNEAS, John Fogerty, John Mayer, and many more.
Beyond the recording room, the studio is purpose-built for live performance recording, video production, and streaming. Artists come in, play to a full house of up to 180 people, and leave with a finished live record — multitrack audio, a Dolby Atmos mix, and professionally shot video, all captured in one room on the same night. Bob Clearmountain is available to mix the record by special arrangement. There is nowhere else in Los Angeles where you can do all of this in a single session.
What sets Berkeley Street apart isn't just the equipment or the résumés on the wall — it's the feeling of the place. For all its credentials, it has the warmth of a room people genuinely want to spend time in. Serious work happens here, but it never feels like it.

Full StoryDescribed by Sound on Sound as having "his name on more hit records than anyone else in the history of popular music," Bob Clearmountain is credited with establishing the role of mixing engineer as we know it today. Two Emmy Awards, TEC Les Paul Award, Music Producers Guild Icon Award (2023), and an honorary doctorate from Berklee NYC (2025) — all earned from the same dedication to sound he brings to every session at Studio M.
